University of Arizona x SXSW
Process
I worked closely with one of our animators, Paula Rodriguez, at 160over90 to create this intricate and zany animated digital poster for the University of Arizona.
I made sure to separate each illustrated subject in this composition so that Paula could easily animate and go wild with whatever ideas came to mind to bring this to life. I started with 4 compositions to choose from, illustrating the title of their event at SXSW "World Building" - a talk about the realm of branding and the importance of imagination and collaboration. It was exciting to utilize my skills as an illustrator and to learn how it could be animated to elevate the creative even further.
Each of these small animations are interchangeable aspects of the illustration.
We also made some printed posters out of the final design ❤️
